about

After three years in the idyllic Japanese countryside, dechirico a.k.a. Adam Douglas moved to Tokyo in 2015. The difference was striking. Gone were the deep currents of tradition and community, replaced by movement and alienation. Douglas took sounds from this new environment and crafted “The Tokyo School Of Electronics,” a 45-minute aural journey through the Japanese megalopolis that also pays respect to classic prog synth groups like Tangerine Dream and Pink Floyd, if not exactly in sound then in spirit.

BIO:
Adam Douglas is an electronic musician with 24 years of releases under his belt. He records dream pop as Kemek, does ambient as Deeper Than Space, and krautrock-inspired music as dechirico. He is currently based out of Tokyo, Japan. This is Douglas’ second release as dechirico for Jacktone Records.
